Amid the wave of generative AI, how can innovation be balanced with information security? On October 17, 2025 (Friday), the Computer Center held a training session on “Applying Generative AI Tools NotebookLM and Gemini in Administration and Teaching”, attracting around 30 enthusiastic faculty and staff members to explore new models of AI collaboration.

This training focused on two powerful Google tools: NotebookLM, described as an “AI knowledge fortress,” securely processes campus data and eliminates AI hallucinations; and Gemini, regarded as an “all-around creativity engine,” offering robust multimodal analysis and content generation. The program guided participants to combine the strengths of both tools—using NotebookLM to establish a solid factual foundation, and Gemini to inspire teaching creativity and optimize administrative workflows.

Participants shared that the training was highly rewarding, helping them grasp the essentials of applying AI safely. The university will continue to promote AI-related training, supporting faculty and staff in harnessing AI to enhance efficiency in administration and teaching, and advancing toward a smarter campus.
