To further enhance faculty members' understanding and application of generative AI, the Central Police University organized the "AI Consensus Growth Camp" during the winter vacation. The program included a special lecture on "Applications and Development of Generative AI: Examples of Large Language Model Applications" on Wednesday, January 15, 2025, and a training session on "Applications of NotebookLM in Public Affairs and Teaching" on Friday, January 17, 2025. Approximately 66 participants attended the camp, and through these lectures and training programs, the event significantly improved their knowledge and skills in related fields.
The courses aimed to help faculty learn how to use generative AI tools to address various issues in teaching, research, and administrative tasks. The lecture on large language model applications demonstrated their use cases in public environments, including drafting official documents, translating between Chinese and English, summarizing key points, rewriting articles, preparing press releases, and responding to public inquiries. Meanwhile, the training on NotebookLM covered its basic operations and latest features, offering hands-on practice for scenarios in public affairs and teaching.
Looking ahead, the university plans to continue promoting relevant training to ensure that colleagues can effectively utilize generative AI tools while maintaining information security, thereby enhancing the efficiency of public administration and teaching research.
