In line with the Taiwanese government's "Digital Government Program 2.0," Central Police University has launched a series of digital transformation courses for faculty and staff to implement evidence-based policy decision-making. Building on the success of the previous "Big Data and Excel Pivot Table Analysis" training program, the university organized two sessions of the "Big Data and Excel Data Visualization" training on Thursday, December 12, 2024. The training program attracted approximately 50 faculty members and seed instructors from various departments interested in acquiring data visualization skills using Excel tools.
This workshop empowered participants with the practical skills to apply big data visualization techniques, utilizing Excel tools to transform complex datasets into intuitive visual representations, such as charts and dashboards. This approach enables participants to interpret data trends, patterns, and relationships effectively, making data-driven decisions. Using personal versions of Excel minimized the risk of data leakage.
In the future, Central Police University will continue to promote relevant training programs, fostering an optimistic outlook and enhancing data processing and analysis skills among all staff members. The knowledge gained will be applied to teaching and administrative work, improving decision-making and operational efficiency.
