As artificial intelligence technology evolves rapidly, how to transform these innovations into support for administration and teaching has become a core issue for modern educators. On April 10, 2026, we successfully held the “Generative AI Tools: NotebookLM and Gemini New Features Introduction and Practice” training session, which attracted enthusiastic participation from faculty and staff eager to explore the limitless possibilities of AI-assisted office work and enhanced teaching.
This training provided an in-depth analysis of the latest features of Gemini and NotebookLM. Highlights included using Gemini Canvas to automatically generate professional presentations through prompts, and leveraging Deep Research to integrate data from the Google ecosystem for comprehensive study. Participants also learned to customize Gem bots to simplify repetitive tasks, and to apply NotebookLM in transforming diverse materials—such as voice recordings and spreadsheets—into charts and presentations. Finally, the DeckEdit tool was introduced for refining NotebookLM presentations and removing watermarks, further improving the precision of AI collaboration. The training effectively strengthened digital productivity and injected new momentum into administrative efficiency.
By organizing this training, the university aims to empower faculty and staff to not only participate in the digital transformation wave but also to lead it. Mastering the latest features of NotebookLM and Gemini will enhance overall administrative efficiency and create a richer, more innovative teaching environment for students.
