As the world enters the AI era, the Central Police University actively plans a series of digital transformation courses for faculty members in alignment with the government's "AI Smart Island" policy concept and the "Smart Government" technology policy. Following the educational training on the development and application of generative AI, as well as a series of AI tools like Google NotebookLM, Whisper Desktop, and Gamma, on November 28, 2024 (Thursday), the university once again gathered seed instructors from various departments and interested faculty members to conduct two sessions of the "AI Graphic Design Tool Canva" course. Approximately 50 participants attended this session, and seed instructors were encouraged to conduct internal training within their units to enhance the overall digital tool application competitiveness among all colleagues.

Canva is an intuitive AI graphic design tool that offers a variety of design templates, suitable for personal creations and educational fields. From designing captivating social media content to creating educational presentations, users can easily create designs by simply dragging and dropping elements, without needing professional design skills. Compared to traditional design software, Canva has a low entry barrier and does not require installation; it can be used on any device with a web browser or a mobile application. This convenience and versatility make Canva an invaluable assistant for both beginner and professional designers.

This course uses the creation of academic event posters, web promotional banners, and teaching presentations with Canva as examples, allowing faculty members to efficiently complete their design projects. In the future, the Central Police University will continue to promote related training to ensure that every colleague is equipped with AI knowledge in the AI era and can initially apply AI tools to various work fields.
